How much does CloudTrucks’ insurance cost the driver?
To be on CloudTrucks' insurance (auto liability and cargo insurance), each driver pays the greater of $150 per week or 5% of the gross load value. This is not charged up front, but rather taken out as you complete loads over the course of the week.
What do I do if a load has OS&D (Overages, Shortages, & Damages)?
If you have any issues with the load, such as damaged or missing product, please notify the Operations team immediately. We will coordinate the communication between you and the broker.
What should I do if I have a mechanical issue or am involved in an accident?
First, make sure you are in a safe place and out of harm’s way. That is our number one priority.
Once you are in a safe place, please call the Operations team. They will be able to assist you with insurance information. Currently, CloudTrucks does not have a roadside assistance program. However, if you rent or lease your vehicle from one of our preferred partners, you may have a roadside program through the equipment provider.
Does CloudTrucks offer Reefer loads?
CloudTrucks currently supports Dry Van, Power Only, and Flatbed freight. We do not currently support Reefer, Box Truck, or Hot Shot trucking.
Does CloudTrucks handle collection of accessorial charges, such as TONUs, detention, or lumper charges?
Yes, our Operations Team works with the brokers to ensure that drivers are paid all accessorial charges that they are owed.
To be eligible for detention, most brokers require that in and out times are recorded on the BOL by the shipper/receiver. Some may also require advance notice, so please contact the Operations Team once you have been detained for 90 minutes beyond your appointment time.
Can I move loads that are not offered on the CloudTrucks app?
We are working hard to add more brokerages and load boards to the app. However, if you have access to loads outside of our app, please provide them with CloudTrucks MC# 1046672, and CC firstname.lastname@example.org on all communications, and we will get set up with that broker or shipper so that you can move that freight under CloudTrucks’ authority.
Does CloudTrucks offer Fuel Advances?
You can request an advance of up to 50% of the linehaul, once a load has been picked up. This feature comes with a 2% fee attached.
